Happy Birthday Parker!
14 has been your sports number forever and now you are 14! This morning you are fishing with your friends, no place you would rather be.
I am so proud of how you have handled the COVID quarantine; you get up every morning to help dad, exercise, hunt or fish. You spend almost the entire day outside working on your fort or hanging in the barn. You have enjoyed making dinner; becoming quite good at cooking fish, potatoes, chicken! You even became entreprenuerial, starting a tackle making business with a friend. You spend time each day tying lures and packaging them up to sell. I haven't heard you complain once in 7 weeks; I feel like this downtime has been good for you. We have a long summer ahead of us and I know there will be days that aren't fun or perfect; but keep up your positive attitude and you will make it thru and before you know it; you will be in High School.
I am looking forward to the year ahead - whatever happens with the future of the world and the coronavirus. I am excited to watch you work hard and excel at sports. Watch you figure out what subjects in school you like best. Watch you continue to learn about hunting and fishing from dad. Stand by you as you make your Confirmation. Watch you and your friends continue you adventures. you will start drivers training in the year ahead and maybe even start working at a job.
You are a leader, you are brave and strong. You are are independant. You have great friends. You secretly like your sister; though you don't always so it. You are sweet deep down; though you rarely like to show it. You are competitive in sports like no other. (Something I wish was also how you approached your school work - but a mom can dream!!! ) You are also messy and sometimes don't think your plans thru. But, we love who you are, stinky socks and all!
Happy Birthday Love Mom.
